AMR MP3 Converter has been created to allow converting between AMR and MP3 audio formats. Its name is actually a bit deceiving, as this program allows converting among much more other audio file formats: from popular MP3, WMA, WAV, AMR, AAC, AC3 or OGG to little-known ones like CAF, MMF or TTA. It actually supports converting to and from an impressive number of about 90 audio and video file formats.
Besides the huge number of supported file formats, I also appreciate its simple, neat and intuitive interface. Anyone interested in thoroughly customizing the encoding parameters of the output formats will be happy to discover that he or she can easily do so, as this program allows configuring the frequency, bit rate and other options of the target files with ease. Volume normalization and support for editing or preserving the ID3 tags are also provided. The fact that it supports batch conversions of multiple audio files at once, even of different formats, is also worth mentioning. Unfortunately, if you want to preview the loaded audio files, you can only play them with your default audio player, as AMR MP3 Converter doesn’t come with a built-in one. A minor disadvantage would also be the fact that the interface can’t be resized or customized, and in my humble opinion, it looks a bit boring.
Anyway, the downsides of AMR MP3 Converter are too small to make a real difference for me. AMR MP3 Converter is a nice tool that I hold in high regard and I sincerely recommend.
